Comfort One

CERAMIC SHOWER

You can install a Comfort~One heated floor in a ceramic shower. However, it is important to install a separate cable inside the shower.

 

 

STAGE 1

Install the control
  • Connect the conductor wires from the cable (or from the outgoing power cable of the junction boxes) to the “LOAD” side of the control.
  • Connect the input current to the “LINE” side of the control.
  • Connect the sensor cables to the sensor terminals on the control.
  • Connect the system ground wires to the input ground.
  • Install the control in the electrical box.
  • Power up the circuit-breaker to supply power to the system.
  • Test the system and control it for several cycles.

Read and follow the instructions provided with the Comfort~One controls.

Keep all the instruction sheets and warranties.

STAGE 2

Install the covering
  • Conduct a final installation inspection.
  • Take a resistance reading.
  • Record this reading in the Sensor and Cable Resistance Log.
  • Install your floor covering.
  • Take a final cable resistance reading.
  • Record this reading in the Sensor and Cable Resistance Log .

PRO TIPS

Insulate under the subfloor for better system performance and greater system efficiency.

STAGE 3

Power up the system
  • Test the system’s operation quickly.
  • Program the control.
  • Power up the system.
  • Operate the controls.
  • Use a clip-on ammeter, remove the control from the wall and check if the cables are live.
  • Shut off the system after A MAXIMUM of 10 minutes of use.

DO NOT OPERATE THE SYSTEM AGAIN FOR 4 WEEKS.

The motor must be completely hardened before using the system.
